| A short walk to the Louvre |
From the hotel, walk down Boulevard Saint-Michel to the river Seine.
Cross the river at pont St-Michel, and turn left on quai des Orfèvres to place Dauphine. You will see the Palace of Justice on your right. Place Dauphine was built in the seventeenth century for the futur king Louis the thirteenth. From there you can to admire typical buildings of that century. |

quai des Orfèvres
|
| Continue to Pont-Neuf, which is the oldest bridge of Paris, and the first built with stones which explains its name "Pont-Neuf" (meaning "the new bridge"). At the other end of the bridge, the Vert Galant garden offers a great view of the Louvre, the "Hotel de la Monnaie" (museum for coins through history) and the dome of "Institut de France" (home of French Academy, Academy of Science, Arts etc.). The statue of Henry the fourth pointing Notre-Dame is a demonstration of his conversion to catholocism. |

Pont Neuf |
| From Pont Neuf, take the stairs down to the boats and escape the noise of the city! Go back up on Quai de Conti to take the "Pont des Arts". |

Pont des Arts |
| Then go straight to the Louvre through the "Cour Carrée". Entrance to the museum is through the pyramid, in "Cour Napoléon". |
