| MUSÉUM NATIONAL D'HISTOIRE NATURELLE |
The museum was the natural heir to the royal garden of medicinal plants, and was opened on 10th June 1793. One year later, a menagerie was set up with animals from the royal domains and from fairs. The Grande Galerie de l'Evolution is the keystone of the Museum. The magnificent adventure of the evolution of species, and the relationship between Man and Nature are exhibited using the most modern techniques. The Jardin des Plantes takes the visitor on a walk through the Botany school, the Alpine garden, the Rose garden, the maze and the iris garden. |

| Rodin installed himself in the Hôtel Biron which was built in 1728. When the State acquired the property in 1911, Rodin offered to donate his entire work and his collections to the nation, on condition that they were to be kept in the Hôtel Biron, which, along with its grounds, would become the Rodin Museum. It presents the many facets of the artist’s talent: his sculptures in marble and bronze, as well as his drawings, paintings and engravings, and works from his private collection (antique and medieval sculptures, paintings by Monet, Renoir, Van Gogh…). |

| MUSÉE DELACROIX |
In the very heart of St-Germain-des-Prés stands the home-workshop and final residence of painter Eugène Delacroix, who lived here from December 1857 to his death in August 1863.
The appartment and workshop were transformed into a museum housing both permanent and temporary exhibitions. In addition to the artist's personnel belongings and furniture, you can discover his lithographs, sketches, drawings and paintings. His painting tools are on display in the workshop. |

| Between 1832 and 1848, Victor Hugo lived on the second floor of the former Hôtel de Rohan-Guéménee, situated in the Place des Vosges. In the apartment, which has now become a museum, each room is dedicated to a period of the artist's life: documents, photos and furniture harmonise to retrace the life of this great figure of French literature from childhood memories to the faithful reconstruction of his death chamber. |
